Douglas R. Brann is a seasoned management executive with over 30 years experience in helping companies reposition their businesses. His experience spans daily operations management of highly technical manufacturing operations to executing operational improvements in companies responding to marketplace and technical change.

Mr. Brann has a proven track record in corporate strategy, project management, capital improvements and supply chain management. He has formed and led cross-disciplinary and cross-functional teams to establish and assure best practices with continuous improvement within the operations environment, resulting in improved quality, reduced manufacturing costs, improved customer relations and an enhanced bottom line. Mr. Brann has also led the rationalization of the supply base to better accomplish the business objectives of the organization. This coupled with a closer integration with the selected supplier base of the planning and execution of materials flow from the suppliers to the organization resulted in working capital savings and improved responsiveness to customer demand. These experiences in daily operations and control have allowed Mr. Brann to help clients improve product quality and processing speed and yields, resulting in improved relations with customers and improved profitability. He has reconfigured supply chains, driven cost improvement initiatives and re-engineered operations and support departments to establish peak efficiencies.

He has acted variously as president, chief operating officer, chief restructuring officer and interim general manager for a wide range of companies, including manufacturers in the casting and finishing, wire, plating, steel services, railcar components, lighting, printed circuit board and chemicals industries as well as the food service and retail industries.

In his role as a corporate advisor and member of management, Mr. Brann’s experience has ranged from supporting operational, financial and turnaround initiatives, to senior management roles with direct responsibility for plant operation, performance targets and consolidation of operations. For example, he led the planning, costing, execution and start-up of a major consolidation of three plants into one in a new location for a metal stamping operation. More recently, Mr. Brann was chief operating officer for a company manufacturing and marketing awards, whose operations included metal casting and finishing operations as a key part of their manufacturing process.

Mr. Brann is currently advising a logistics group that is consolidating its operations and is serving on the Boards of two affiliated companies in the automotive lighting industry.
